How to fix a pocket door?

This topic is available here on The Repair-Place forum
This is fun!

I've got a pocket door that jams when it's about half closed. The track at the bottom is loose and I think it's catching on that.

How do I take the door out so I can repair the track?

What kind of door is it? A closet door, glass door? wood door? etc.
Also is the door hanging in a pocket from above or is it sitting in a track that goes all along the bottom?
How big is the door (height - width) approx
Wood door, between the kitchen & living room.

Hangs from above, there's a U-shaped guide just inside the wall on the one side.

I don't know the dimensions and I'm at work now so they'll have to wait.

Pocket doors are kind of tricky. On some of them the trim would have to be removed on one side to be able to get to the trollys to beable to release the door from the track. Sometimes, the door trolly can be accessed when the door is closed and then the door can be lowered enough to get it out but not usually. There should really should be no reason the door gets caught in the middle of the track unless a screw is hanging down (The track should be screwed up into the opening framing). See if you can see anything with a flashlight that is getting in the way before you start dis-manteling. Also look at the door itself for tell-tale marks where its hanging up.
