What type of paint should I use on my inside trim?

This topic is available here on The Repair-Place forum I just put all new trim in my house. Does it matter what kind of paint I use to paint it? You need to prime with a primer designed for new wood. If there are knots then use Kilz. This will seal the knots so they will have a lesser of a chance of bleeding through later. Then paint with either a latex enamel or alkyd base paint. I like Benjamin Moore or Muralo or Behr or Sherwin Williams. Feel the wood after you prime, if it isn't perfectly smooth it probably will need to be sanded before the top coat.
