Sure is!
If the primer is tinted using about half of the formula that was used to mix the paint, it helps the paint cover much better than if left white. Plus if you do miss an occasional spot or two, it doesn’t show up so bad! Adding too much colorant to primer isn’t recommended because you don’t want to change the properties of primer, but using half the tint formula is usually OK. Half formula will keep the primer lighter so painting the topcoat is easier than if the paints are exactly the same. |
