Updating Stained Doors

This topic is available here on The Repair-Place forum
We recently purchased a house that has stained oak baseboard and casing but all the doors are stained pine. The house looks very dated and we would like to update the look of the house. We have already started by taking out all the baseboard since it was very small (only four inch) and not nearly as nice as the door and window casing. We are thinking of painting all the casing cream or beige and installing new large baseboard. However, we are unsure what to do about the doors. To replace all the doors would be expensive (41 doors in total) but we need to do something to update the look of the stained pine 6 panel colonial door. We have been thinking of painting or glazing the stained doors.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Markus
