How big is a cargo container?

ISO has a standard for shipping cargo freight conatainers: ISO 1161:1984 but they want $100 for me to download it.

I found this info online for a 20 foot cargo freight container :

19’5” X 7’8” X 7’9.5” (Long X Wide X High).
Volume: 1,159 feet3.
Dry Container Weight: About 4200 pounds.
Dry Container Capacity: About 49,000 pounds.

That information was almost worthless.

Call a cargo container freight shipping company for the actual dimensions of what you can ship.
Dude, there are all sorts of containers for containerized shipping.
You need to contact a local shipper for details.
