This topic is available here on The Repair-Place forum | I have a 16 yr old frost-free outdoor faucet. The plastic anti-siphon piece on top had broken off leaving me with a new water fountain when I turn the faucet on. Iwas able to unscrew the other piece of plastic that was left in the top of the faucet. Replaceing the whole faucet is not a good option since that part of my basement is finished. I'm hoping you can find the part I need to fix it.
Thanks in advance for your time and help. |
| I posted my question back in July 2008. Even if you don't have an answer, I would think you would at least say,"We don't know." Or is it better to just ignore and it'll go away. Is this web site bogus or what? |

Try taking some pictures to your local plumbing supply house, but I think they'll be telling you to replace the faucet anyway. I don't know how extensive a problem it will be for you to get past your finished basement wall to get to the pipes, but drywall (hopefully) repairs very easily and in under the 7 months it took me to get to this question. If not, a nice picture hanging over the new access door in the panelling would be cool.

"Worked for my wife "
But then I got to thinking, and I thought a better reply might be:
"Well, it was working with you until now"
but I decided that was too snarky. So I think I will go with:
"Well, it worked for the TheGuru, the guy who used to answer the questions around here"

Seriously... sorry for not answering you earlier. I missed your post.
